I love going wine tasting in the Woodinville Warehouse District on Sundays because it’s not crowded, there are plenty of open wineries to choose from, and it’s easy to find parking. (Saturdays are a lot busier).
Today I went to my first ever wine tasting at Page Cellars (thank you for the comped industry tasting!)
Their outdoor patio has recently been revamped and expanded and it’s SO cute! Love the cheery sunflowers.
The winery is dog friendly inside and out. I was greeted by an employee’s adorable Boston terrier, Henry, as a matter of fact.
I requested a mixed tasting with white wines, Rosé and red wines to get a broad overview of Page Cellars wines.
My tasting began with a refreshing and delicious sparkling Rosé.
Next was “Twisted Knickers,” a crisp mix of Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling.
For the reds, which I enjoyed thoroughly, the flight started with “Lick My Lips” Merlot from Red Mountain. Loved this and probably should have bought a bottle. Shoot.
Next was the 2019 “Rival” red blend, Merlot dominant and very a impressive Bordeaux style wine.
Their “Preface” Cabernet Sauvignon is perfect for an elegant dinner party where you really want to blow your guests away with a stellar food-friendly Washington wine.
Can’t wait to bring friends back to sip wine on the patio at Page Cellars during the Washington wine month of #waugust !
