Ancestry Cellars says “Raise a glass to family!” Family and tradition are important to owners Jason and Erin Morin. They recognize the value of community and gathering around a table. This is why Ancestry Cellars is so special.
Their Woodinville tasting room is located in Woodin Creek Village, across from Tsillan Cellars in Wine Alley. It’s a quaint and adorable space perfect for gatherings with friends and loved ones. There is some outdoor seating available for beautiful sunny days.
We love the decor and art displayed in their tasting room. You can feel the “family tree” aesthetic in the atmosphere to the wine in the glass. The red chairs pop against the green nature decorations.
If you are interested in any of these pieces check out the artist. Jungim Rose creates moss wall art and murals for individual customers, residential buildings, and commercial properties. Look at their website and Instagram profile for more details!
Alongside the murals are photos of Jason Morin’s family – the foundation of Ancestry Cellars!
Jen and I decided to get a glass pour this time around. We arrived on a bright sunny day, perfect for a light variety.
To wind down, Jen was excited to try their 2023 Grandma Lila’s Rosé made with Sangiovese. It was delightful with light strawberry rhubarb tones. There was a bit of acidity that cut the sweetness just right.
I decided to get the 2022 Reminiscence Riesling. Immediately I tasted the lime and apricot. There was a hint of sweetness and tones of stone fruit flavors. This would be perfect with a charcuterie board.
We cannot wait to visit Ancestry Cellars for a full tasting. Next time, we want to share this place with some of our favorite people. There’s nothing better than sharing good wine and good company.
