Browne Family Vineyards opened its stunning Bellevue tasting room over the last weekend in October. We were jumping at the chance to visit! Located on Main Street, nestled next to Monsoon Restaurant, Browne’s newest location is a beautiful addition to Old Town Bellevue.
We were instantly given the warmest welcome from Christy as we entered this warm and inviting tasting room. There are wine and whiskey flights to choose from (you know I was having a tough time deciding). I decided to try the Bitner flight. This gave me an opportunity to try Bitner Estate wines and tasting room exclusives.
Tasting room manager Kyle recommended a little snack to pair with our wine flights. We quickly decided on this well-rounded cheese and charcuterie plate.
Kaiti was most impressed with the Chardonnay and the Merlot from her tasting flight. The tasting room also offers small-batch cocktails, wines by the glass and several wine and whiskey food pairing experiences that are worth checking out.
I was mesmerized by the beautiful art behind the bar. It is almost impossible not to get drawn in and want to stay here for a while. It is both casual yet sophisticated, and a perfect place for a date night.
The vibe here is fun and gave me inspiration to get dressed up and return on a Friday night. I love the warm velvet booth style seating and the natural light that streams in through the windows.
My favorite red wines from the tasting flight were the Syrah and the Petit Verdot. It’s rare to find a 100% Petit Verdot and this one was fruit-forward with a nice red cherry finish.
We look forward to going back and trying some of the locally-sourced bourbons in the secret bourbon bar.
You will find Browne at 10254 Old Main Street, amid bustling retail shops and restaurants and downtown Bellevue Park is a few blocks away.
Cheers!
