On a recent trip to Chelan, Alta Cellars in Manson was booming with excitement. I decided to check it out!
There was a wedding party that was wine-tasting the day before the big day. Everyone was gushing about how delicious their wine tasting was!
The wedding party left shortly after my arrival, leaving me alone with the host. She was incredibly attentive! She informed me that the flight was about 5 wines – 1 rosé, 2 whites, and 2 reds.
We began with a 2021 Rose made with 100% Syrah which was a delight. Next up was my favorite, the 2021 Albariño. The final white offered was a 2020 Sauvignon Blanc. It was scorching hot that day and each white was very refreshing!
Alta Cellars had two delightful red wines. The first was the 2020 Merlot from Candy Mountain and the second was the 2020 Red Blend (Navigator) (50% Merlot, 25% Cab Franc, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon.)
It was so hard to choose what wines I wanted to take home! I finally decided to take the Merlot and 2021 Albariño home with me.
