I was blown away when Carrie, Shona, and I met up last Sunday afternoon for brunch and wine tasting at Alexandria Nicole Cellars’ new tasting room at the Woodin Creek Village! This modern space is absolutely stunning with a huge wine club lounge, ample seating for non-club members, and a prime patio location. I won’t post a bathroom selfie here, but I must mention the most beautiful restroom wallpaper I have ever seen that is in the ladies’ room.
This is just a small portion of the pretty, corner patio at ANC Woodin Creek. We were all enjoying the views of the flowers beds and lush foliage from our table. What a gorgeous spot to shop, dine and sip Woodinville wine! People watching from here is also amazing.
Mariah was super friendly as always and went over the food menu with me after placing this lovely wine tasting flight on our table. Before she did that, she carried over a put of the Adulting sparkling white wine to get us started.
The last time I visited ANC at their Hollywood Schoolhouse location, they were sold out of the sparkling white wine, so a bottle purchase was definitely necessary this time around. It’s a summer favorite at my house! I love the sparkling Rosé just as much.
The other Woodinville wines we tasted were; 2019 Shepherd’s Mark, the 2020 a2 “Pinky Swear” Rosé, the 2017 members only GSM, the 2018 Destiny
I was not even hungry when I ordered this charcuterie board, but the pickled veggies had me hooked! I can never turn away from a delicious charcuterie board and this one was gorgeous. The full kitchen at Alexandria Nicole Cellars has other small plates to choose from as well. The hummus plate sounded equally delicious, I will be trying that the next time we visit. The house-made potato chip flight? I mean this when I say that good potato chips are my absolute undoing! Remind me never to visit here when I am dieting. So many tempting food options!
Here I am sipping the 2018 Destiny. I really enjoyed the 2017 Counoise and will need to revisit that next time. I wish I had purchased a bottle of it to bring home with me and serve to guests. Tasting notes are on point, and I picked up aromatics of Bing cherry, spice, and raspberry, and strawberry, cherry, and plum on the palate. The pretty ruby color was also noteworthy. Another Washington State produced Counoise to add to my list of favorite red wines.
Isn’t this wine club member lounge to die for? I mean, those seats are so pretty! The aesthetic is a wine photographer’s dream and while it is utterly chic and modern, it’s warm and inviting at the same time. I am here for it.
We are seriously impressed with the new tasting room ventures opened this year by Alexandria Nicole Cellars. Woodin Creek Village in and of itself is a gem and is the place to be right now in Woodinville wine country. Next up on my list is a trip to Audacity Wine Bar in Seattle. I think that should be my next date night with James!
You can visit ANC’s Woodin Creek tasting room at 17140 135th Ave NE, Bldg 2D, Ste 1010. They are open 7 days a week and I would recommend a reservation. Walk-ins are quickly becoming my least favorite way to taste Woodinville Wine, but more on that in another post.
Let us know when you visit Alexandria Nicole Cellars at Woodin Creek, and if you see us out and about, say “Hi!”.
xoxo ~Jen
