Continuing with our salute to Women’s History Month and Women Winemakers, today we spotlight two fabulous women in wine, Assistant Winemaker Mari Rossi and Cellar Lead Srah Jackson with DeLille Cellars. There are so many amazing things happening over at DeLille these days and we love that the amazing winemaking team includes these two amazing women.
Sarah and Mari arrived at DeLille via two very different paths in winemaking. Mari received a degree in Viticulture and Enology from Cornell University before being names assistant winemaker, and Sarah’s journey to Cellar Lead began by volunteering to help with harvest (she later worked at wineries in Australia!) and grew into a passion from there.
These ladies are working hard along with the rest of the incredible winery team at DeLille Cellars. They have been a part of the remarkable growth at the winery’s production facility and tasting room in the former Red Hook Brewery building and enjoy networking with other influential women in Washington Wine, including Erica Orr. We hope to spotlight Erica before the month’s end.
In my conversation with Sarah and Mari, I was impressed with the camaraderie that they spoke about within the DeLille winemaking team and the support for future Woodinville winemakers that they offer. These ladies are doing amazing things in Woodinville Wine and we are excited to watch what they do in the months and years to come!
Cheers ~Jen
