Once in a while, we get asked by our readers if there are any ice wines available in Woodinville.
While both Jen and I find ice wines a bit too sweet for our palates, we do have several friends who prefer sweeter wines and look forward to a small refreshing glass with dessert or while sitting around the bonfire. Washington State excels in growing the perfect grapes for making ice wines, including Riesling, Chenin Blanc, Cabernet Franc and even Grüner Veltliner.

I did a bit of research to find our local Washington ice wines available here in Woodinville. Take a look and let’s support our local wineries!
Alexandria Nicole Cellars makes an ice wine from Cabernet Franc grapes.
Cave B Estate Winery has made an ice wine in the past; but currently only sells a 2015 Late Harvest Semillon.
Chateau Ste. Michelle offers “Eroica” ice wine made from Riesling grapes.
Columbia Winery occasionally makes a Riesling ice wine, but currently doesn’t show one on their website.
Finn Hill Winery is currently sold out of their “En Fleur” Semillon based ice wine.
Gard Vintners makes an acclaimed Riesling ice wine from grapes grown in their estate vineyard, Corfu Crossing.
Goose Ridge Vineyards makes a Riesling ice wine, but are regrettably sold out at the moment.
