We love Rosé.. and we love sparkling wine.. so you can imagine how much joy it brings us when we’re shopping for wine in Woodinville tasting rooms and come across Sparkling Rosé!
Washington State produces quite a few interesting sparkling wines, and we love that some winemakers have the guts to make Sparkling Rosé as well!
I was gifted this bottle of the new “Adulting” sparkling Rosé wine from Alexandria Nicole Cellars. It’s an intriguing blend of Syrah (57%), Counoise, Merlot, Muscat Canelli, and it is rounded out with a splash of Viognier (4%).
If you remember that I am a big Tempranillo fan, you’ll understand how very excited I am to taste Cave B Estate Winery’s new “Pink and Bubbly” sparkling Rosé. It’s also made with 50% Malbec.
The other bottle in this photo is a sparkling Rosé of Pinot Noir from J. Bookwalter Winery. It’s not on the website anymore so I’m assuming it’s sold out already.
During our recent visit to the Woodinville Maryhill Winery tasting room, the tasting room manager kindly gifted us with this bottle of Maryhill Sparkling Rosé, their Proprietors Reserve Brut. Jen and I are saving it for a special occasion.. such as, “Next Wednesday” perhaps? The label was drawn by a friend and club member of the winemaker/Maryhill Winery owner.
Every year we look forward to purchasing (and drinking!) Lachini Vineyards’ Sparkling Rosé of Pinot Noir. The grapes are from Oregon, and you can buy a bottle in the Hollywood District tasting room here in Woodinville.
I accidentally drank and recycled my bottle of Patterson Cellars’ Sparkling Rosé of Pinot Noir, so I can’t show you a photo of it! You can purchase it in their Hollywood Hill or warehouse district tasting rooms.
We love the friendly people at Wit Cellars. The winery has two tasting rooms – one in Prosser and one in the Warehouse District in Woodinville. That’s where you can find their limited edition sparkling Rosé, “Unleashed.” It’s a Rosé of Syrah. They only made 250 cases, so get yours now if this appeals to you.
There’s a Brut Rosé from Domaine Ste. Michelle (Chateau Ste. Michelle). You’ll be likely to easily find it in your local grocery store or nearby wine shop.
We want to warn you – many of our Woodinville Rosé wines sell out quite quickly, and even more so for the sparkling Rosés! If you plan to pick up any local sparkling pink wines this year, I’d hurry up and order them as soon as you can.
