Are you interested in learning more about pairing the right foods with our Woodinville and Washington wines?

I throw a dinner party or wine cocktail party just about every week, and I haven’t been too concerned with pairing wines with food. (I’ve been busy instead with vacuuming, grocery shopping, cleaning, setting the table, cooking the food, etc.) I always have fruit, meat, cheese, veggies and olives out, but I’d like to do a better job of presenting a fantastic local wine that will enhance the main entree and appetizers I’m serving. (I feel like dessert pairing isn’t too difficult since we have so many dessert wines available here in Woodinville!)

Today I’m watching some educational wine videos on YouTube, and I’d like to share some of my favorites.

Let’s start off with a quick and easy seven minute post on the basics of wine and food pairing from YouTube wine blogger Whitney Adams

Melissa Maker’s video is geared towards beginning wine drinkers:

I always love videos from Wine Folly.

Madeleine also shares some cheese and wine pairing basics.

And let’s not miss Wine Folly’s wine and chocolate pairing video!

Here are tips from Grape Explorer:

Here’s a food and wine pairing guide aimed specifically at men:

Our education wouldn’t be complete without this food and wine pairing video from Epicurious magazine:

Here’s Hallmark Channel’s tips for wine and food pairing:

Let’s Ask Chef Tony for food and wine pairing tips:

This final video has some really scientific stuff going on – I found it fascinating and learned so much!

What wines from Woodinville are you most excited to pair with the proper food? Let me know in the comments below. (For me, I’m a bit worried about Barbera, Mourvedre and Petit Verdot!)
