We’ve been getting a lot of questions on social media lately about where to taste white wines in Woodinville. We wondered why people didn’t just read the blog – the entire point of Woodinville Wine Blog is to help people make tough decisions about which tasting rooms to visit given time and budget constraints.

But as we scroll through our archive of past posts, it’s definitely not easy to tell which wineries offer more white wines than others, and where might be the best place to stop to try several white wine varietals all under the same roof. So here’s our roundup of current (late summer 2019) picks and recommendations on tasting white wines in Woodinville!

We are really impressed with Cave B Estate Winery’s white wines. They make a Chardonnay, a Gewurztraminer, a Semillon and a Late Harvest Semillon, a Chenin Blanc, a Cuvee Blanc, and an Unoaked Chardonnay (my personal favorite). You can find Cave B Estate Winery in the Hollywood District.

Alexandria Nicole Cellars, in the Hollywood District, offers a Pinot Gris, a Viognier, a Sauvignon Blanc, their Shepherds Mark Rhone-style white wine blend, and a Late Harvest Riesling.

Run across the street to Patterson Cellars to try their Late Harvest Roussanne, their Melange Blanc, and their Chardonnay.

I’m a big fan of Airfield Estates’ white wines. Besides “Flygirl White” they make a Moscato, a Chardonnay, a Pinot Gris, a Viognier, and a Sauvignon Blanc.

Near Airfield Estates, you’ll find Goose Ridge with its spacious tasting room and beautiful outdoor patio. They sell ciders as well as their white wines (Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, a white blend and an Ice Wine.)

Up a long driveway in the Hollywood District sits Sky River Mead, where you can taste several different honey wines.

Guardian Cellars, Lauren Ashton Cellars and Otis Kenyon are found in the Apple Farm Village, the big yellow building in the Hollywood District.

Guardian Cellars makes a stunning “Angel” Sauvignon Blanc that’s always a hit at my parties; plus Newsprint Chardonnay.

Lauren Ashton makes Cuvee Meline, a Semillon, a Roussanne, a Reserve Chardonnay and a Riesling.

Otis Kenyon mostly has red wines, but you might want to stop by for a glass pour of their Roussanne.

Just north of the Hollywood District, you’ll find the quaint and charming Castillo de Feliciana tasting room. You’ll want to stop in if you like Spanish style white wines – they have two different Albarinos to taste.

In the Warehouse District, Smasne Cellars offers a wide variety of white wines, including Farm Girl White, Farm Boy Viognier, a Sauvignon Blanc, a Roussanne, a Pinot Gris, a Chardonnay, and a couple of different Albarinos.

My current favorite wines are by Savage Grace Wines (they’re one of only three wine clubs out of Woodinville’s 118+ that I have joined). They make a Gewurztraminer, a Blanc de Blanc, a Riesling, a Sauvignon Blanc, a Gruner Veltliner, and one of the only Chardonnays in the world I actually enjoy drinking.

Over in Artisan Hill, Lord Lion Winery makes a Chablis-style white wine with Chardonnay grapes, a Riesling and a Viognier.

You might also stop by Finn Hill Winery in the Artisan Hill district, to try their Riesling, their Pinot Gris, and the “Par Excellence” white wine blend.

Lobo Hills is also in the Artisan Hill District. It’s an especially fun tasting room to visit, and they offer a Sauvignon Blanc, an Auxerrois, a Chenin Blanc, and a Dry Riesling.

Tsillan Cellars tasting room is in the Gateway District. There you can taste their estate Pinot Grigio, the Estate Reserve Chardonnay, and their Gewurztraminer.

At The Junction, Gard Vintners presents a Pinot Gris, a Riesling Contact, their Grand Klasse Riesling, a Chardonnay, a Viognier, a Roussanne, and occasionally a Riesling Ice Wine. They also make a delicious “Freyja” white wine blend.

Isenhower Cellars, in the West Valley District, offers a Sparkling Roussanne and a Viognier. They’re both very good (but call ahead to see if the Sparkling Roussanne is sold out).

Also in the West Valley District, stop by Martedi Winery for incredible Italian style wines. They make a Pinot Grigio, a Chardonnay and a Riesling.

While you’re in the West Valley District, you of course would want to stop at Woodinville’s largest and most famous winery: Chateau Ste. Michelle. There are too many white wines to list – check out their website’s wine list.

There are many other wineries where you can taste white wine in Woodinville, particularly in the Warehouse District, but this list should get you started. Hope you enjoy your trip to Woodinville!
