A Colorful Lunch and Trust Cellars Rosé

Last week, I was so excited to go to the grand opening of the new Whole Foods at Totem Lake in Kirkland. I live in a neighborhood that’s equally close to Redmond, Woodinville and Kirkland. Previously, the Redmond Whole Foods was my closest source of healthy, expensive, organic vegetarian foods. Now I have a Whole Foods closer to me, as well as in the same strip mall as a Trader Joe’s! This will make my life so much easier (and my wallet so much emptier).

I stopped by Trader Joe’s to get a Rainbow Wrap for my lunch and a few groceries you can only get at Trader Joe’s. Then my trip to Whole Foods yielded this colorful veggie salad rolls and a vegetarian-friendly cucumber and avocado sushi roll.

I’d stopped by the Whole Foods wine section to meet wine manager Perry and give him my Woodinville wine Blog business card. While I was there, I couldn’t resist picking up a bottle of Trust Cellars’ Rosé. I hadn’t seen it in stores and have not yet managed to personally visit their tasting room here in Woodinville. (Jen did the photography and writeup for our blog’s visit there).

Back at home, I took my lunch break outdoors, savoring our warm Seattle summer weather. I ate very last bit of my Rainbow wrap, veggie sushi and salad rolls, knowing that dinner was far off. I could only indulge in one glass of the Rosé since I still had a lot of work to get done in the afternoon.

The 2017 Trust Cellars Rosé is made with 100% Cabernet Franc grapes. I found it the perfect crisp, refreshing pairing with my veggie sushi. Neither overpowered the other.

Stop by Whole Foods Totem Lake or the Trust Cellars tasting room in Woodinville to pick up a bottle of summer in a glass!
