Exploring Woodinville’s Copia Farm and Its Lovely Patios

I’d been meaning for so long to take a tour of Copia Farm and its tasting rooms, but hadn’t managed to find time until a recent summer Friday. (I’d been next door to Fish Brewing Taproom with my boyfriend a few times though). The manager, Meredith, kindly gave me permission to wander around taking photos to my heart’s content.

Copia Farm has a lot going on here on the property: Piccola Cellars, (closed as far as I know), Roza Hills Vineyard, SilverLake Wine Garden and the next door taproom.

Roza Hills Vineyard is their high end estate wine. Pictured here are their 2013 Merlot and 2013 Cabernet Franc, both from Rattlesnake Hills. Their tasting flights are strictly red wines.

The atmosphere is rustic farmyard – nicely quaint!

There’s a lot of activity here on summer weekend evenings. I’ve never been by when it wasn’t full of happy wine tasters, and there are often events on the patio. (In the past, there have been yoga events, Ladies Night events, live music, and other interesting ways to spend your wine tasting time!)

I popped in on a Friday afternoon to take my tour and snoop around before people arrived and things got busy – I didn’t want to get in the way!

A cowgirl presides over a bench you can rest on while taking in the scenery.

The grounds here are very spacious, and I love that they have so much parking available!

I’m not sure what to call this antique rustic.. wagon? Car?

There are all sorts of little spots for two or three people to enjoy a quiet glass of wine away from the crowds.

How thoughtful of the staff to put up a little tent for some shade.

Here’s a charming table for three where you can sip wine outdoors.

The patio is large and can accommodate many wine tasters. A fountain burbled refreshingly nearby.

I was sorely tempted to put my camera down and experience a wine tasting, but I had several other patios to photograph that day, and had to move on.

Here’s a table that can seat six, but keep in mind, most Woodinville wine tasting rooms appreciate it if you call in advance to make reservations for your party of six or more.

The landscaping is lovely, too.

I have a feeling when my boyfriend reads this blog post and sees this ad for Copia Farm’s Oktoberfest celebration, he’ll want to go!

Copia Farm is located at 14701 148th Ave NE, Woodinville, WA 98072.
