Cave B Estate Winery Expands Woodinville Tasting Room and Patio

Yesterday, on a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon, I went over to Cave B Estate Winery’s Woodinville tasting room to check out their new digs. They recently were invited to take over the former Genoa Cellars building, which was being underutilized. (Genoa Cellars has a tasting room in Woodinville’s warehouse district).

Jen and I are very excited that Cave B was able to expand their tasting room space. They have such fun live music events, plus incredible wines, that the tasting room was very crowded on weekends.

This expansion will help ease the crowds and the lineup at the tasting room counter! It couldn’t have happened to a nicer winery.

A group of wine tasters had just finished their tasting of Cave B’s red wines when I arrived.

I enjoyed a glass of Cave B’s delicious Riesling on their newly expanded patio, soaking up some sunshine before the Friday afternoon crowds arrived.

I don’t even want to know how they got this giant rock table over here!

Cave B makes a large variety of white wines, including a Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Roussanne, Viognier, Semillon, and even a Gewurztraminer.

Across the way you can see Forgeron Cellars‘ outdoor tasting room patio as well.

We love chatting with Meghan about Cave B’s wines and Washington wines in general. She’s friendly and so knowledgeable! She kindly let me pester her into agreeing to be photographed.

If you want to bask in the sunlight, you can choose to sit on the front patio.

It’s rare to have the Cave B patio to myself on a sunshine-filled afternoon. I’m not antisocial; I love talking with other wine drinkers, but it was still sort of nice to have the place to myself for half an hour. Like my own personal wine spa retreat!

There’s an extensive tasting menu and many glass pour options to choose from. It’s difficult to pick which wine I want to start with – but I’m not complaining!

Meghan had Cave B’s wines lined up ready for the busy summer wine tasting weekend ahead.

We always get a kick out of the signs displayed at Cave B. Most are for sale.

If you’d prefer to NOT sit in the hot sun, there are cozy seating areas indoors as well.

The new curved tasting room counter is gorgeous, and accomodates many people simultaneously.

I’m fairly certain Jen was jealous she wasn’t able to come out and explore Cave B with me yesterday. This might be our new favorite summer hangout spot!

Cave B Estate Winery is located at 14356 Woodinville-Redmond Rd NE, Redmond, WA 98052.
