JM Cellars is always a great destination for tasting Woodinville wine! Recently, my friend Kristen and I were there on a lovely Saturday afternoon. JM this time of year is simply stunning and a must-see Woodinville winery.

Courtney greeted us at the tasting counter and was very helpful and friendly! She offered us the 2017 Bramble Bump White for our first pour. This easy, everyday drinking white is a 76% Chardonnay and 24% Viognier blend with light oak and slight fruit flavors.

Kristen and I both loved the refreshing 2017 Viognier. Sourced from Stillwater Creek Vineyard, it is a perfect summer wine, refreshing and full of flavor. JM Cellars uses  stainless steel to ferment this Viognier to  help bring out the natural aromatics.  It is one of my go-to summer Woodinville wines to drink.

A tasting counter was set up with the 2017 Cinsaut Rosé when Kristen and I arrived. JM’s outdoor setting is absolutely beautiful and so inviting!

JM’s Cinsaut rose grapes are aged in stainless steel. I really enjoyed it and picked up fruit flavors, especially strawberries.

We wandered over to the lawn with glassses of rosé . This area of the Bramble Bump property can be used for outdoor games or to hold a wedding ceremony.

I could have lounged in these chairs all day! These barrel chairs are nestled under shady canopies with dappled sunlight peeking through. So relaxing!

JM Cellars offers so much for guests to enjoy.  The landscaping is beautiful and there are many choices for seating throughout the property. This outdoor patio was perfect on a warm Saturday afternoon!

We were lucky to have had the opportunity to chat with owner/winemaker John Bigelow outside on the wine club patio. He talked to us about his passion for winemaking, and gave insteresting insight to his style. John makes sure that all grape clusters are hand sorted, and uses a destemmer to remove the stems from the grapes. He also personally foot stomps all of his red grapes, to never break the seeds.

Kristen and I were excited to taste the 2017 Merlot from the barrel.  This is a smooth, rich red with delicious notes of dark cherries, which John told us is ready to bottle.  The 2016 Merlot sold out upon its wine club release, and we look forward to the next one!

Kristen and I had a fantastic time catching up and exporing the JM Cellars property.  Here, she was sipping the 2015 Margeet’s Vineyard Estate Red.

This event space is what you find on the other side of that gorgeous, ivy covered door. Don’t you love the ambiance added by the star lights?

A table in the Barrel room was beautifully decorated with flowers for a winery party.  For more informatiom on JM events, click here.
