This weekend, I had a small group of ladies over for a quick glass of wine after lunch. With such short notice before our spontaneous gathering, I didn’t have time to run to the store before my guests arrived. I was grateful I’d happened to pick up some darling ice cream cone shaped cookies from Metropolitan Market in Sammamish!

These ice cream cone themed cookies would be perfect for my upcoming homemade ice cream party. I can just see them poking out from the top of a big scoop of homemade gelato!
I found beautiful floral “Jardin” paper plates from Papyrus and matching napkins in my kitchen cupboard. I thought they were perfect for this little party, and anticipated easier cleanup than if I’d used my real dishes.
I poured myself a glass of Airfield Estates Rosé wine while I waited for my guests to arrive. Perhaps I should have spent that time ironing my pink tablecloth instead – oh well!
I was happy to be able to provide a vertical tasting of several different Rosé wines from Woodinville for my guests to compare and savor. The Airfield Estates wine was made from Sangiovese grapes; Goose Ridge’s Rosé is made from their Estate Grenache.
Tertulia Cellars’ Rosé is made from Tempranillo grapes.
The Bocciolo di Rosa wine from Tsillan Cellars has been Jen’s and my favorite this summer. I admit it was a bit hard to open and share this bottle! But it’s best not to drink the whole thing by myself.
As the afternoon wore on, guests were divided as to which wine was the standout favorite. There were several votes for Goose Ridge, but a couple people were passionate about the Tsillan Cellars Rosé as well.
I happily sampled all the wines, grateful to live so close to Woodinville in case I need to restock my wine supplies!
Which has been your favorite Rosé from a Woodinville tasting room this summer? Let us know in the comments below.
