Visiting Tsillan Cellars Woodinville Tasting Room

Recently, we went wine tasting at the Tsillan Cellars tasting room here in Woodinville. Jen’s been to the Chelan winery, but hadn’t been in here yet. We came early in the afternoon so as to greedily have the tasting room all to ourselves. We love how light-filled it is!

We met the new tasting room associate, Taylor. She is so awesome that we frequently pop in to visit with her (bother and pester her?)!

Isn’t this a lovely, cozy little seating arrangement for wine tasters?

The tasting room has a garage door that can be thrown open on nice days to let in sunshine and fresh air – love it!

I’d completely forgotten that Tsillan makes a Pinot Grigio! I was delighted to try it. Come to think of it, I should go back and stock up on several bottles for summer.

The tasting room staff have been busy getting their branded Tsillan wine glasses ready for the summer weekend ahead.

A little gift shop area offers candles made from reclaimed Tsillan Cellars bottles.

I cook and entertain often, so I felt compelled (or vindicated) to purchase a bottle of Tsillan Cellars’ barrel aged balsamic vinegar for my pantry.

These Olive Branch infused dipping oils also tempted me greatly.

Take a look at the current red wine tasting lineup: Sinistra, Bellissima Rossa, Barbera, and their Reserve Syrah.

Jen and I agree that our very favorite Rosé wine from Woodinville is Tsillan’s Bocciolo di Rosa.

The color is unique and stunning, and the flavor unlike any other Rosé we’ve tried. We each took two bottles home.

My favorite pour today, besides the Rosé, was the 2015 Sinistra. It’s a blend of 35% Barbera, 35% Sangiovese, 24% Merlot and 6% Syrah.

Jen especially enjoyed the 2014 Reserve Syrah. This wine won the Double Gold and Best of Class in the International East Meets West Coast Wine Competition.

We chatted quite a bit about social media for the local and Washington wine industry.

I need to remember that this tasting room sells chilled bottles of Italian beer, for people like my boyfriend, who really don’t care for wine but would like to come along with me and socialize while I taste wine. Brilliant!

Tsillan Cellars is located in the Gateway District of Woodinville, across from the Hampton Inn, at 19255 Woodinville Snohomish Rd #3, Woodinville, WA 98072.
