Enjoying Tasting Wine at The Junction in Woodinville Despite the Rain

On Sunday, I left the Woodinville warehouse district just a few minutes before everyone’s 5pm closing time. Making my way past The Junction, I saw several people still out on patios, listening to live music. It had been a bit rainy on and off all day, so all those people are really good sports, or at least really into wine!

I couldn’t resist stopping by to see what was going on! I am not usually in the warehouse district on weekends, so this was my chance to snoop around and check out what was going on.

Larry Murante was performing the last song of his set, outside Beaumont Cellars. I was glad to hear his last song, and wished I had shown up earlier!

Five Star Cellars was just closing up after the festivities ended. I just recently brought my last bottle of Five Star Cellars wine to a barbecue (their Sangiovese), so I need to pop in soon and restock.

Sol Stone had thoughtfully erected a pop-up tent over their patio, and had put up festive balloons. Jen has visited Sol Stone before but I haven’t had the pleasure yet – I’ll try to come by long before closing next time!

I ran into Gard Vintners in search of their two Rosés. One was sold out already, so I felt lucky to be able to purchase the other.

As always, Christina looked happy and pretty – I begged to take her photograph and she kindly and good naturedly obliged!

Every weekend, there are fun events scheduled at The Junction and its tasting rooms. For example, Block Party + Yoga takes place July 8. Food Truck Thursdays take place here from 4:30 to 7pm. There’s live music on most Saturdays and some Sundays. And Gard Vintners is having a “Freyja Release Party” and celebrating Summer Solstice on June 21.

Drop into The Junction next time you’re in the warehouse district on a Thursday or the weekends. Besides the wine tasting rooms, there’s a brewery, a cider tasting room, and a micro-distillery. Also, I feel the need to mention that Shake-N-Go has really, really good French fries!
