Ever since I learned about the Woodinville Cut Shop I couldn’t wait to go check it out and have lunch there. Carrie and I managed to meet up between visiting tasting rooms. I was instantly charmed by the warm, nostalgic décor and friendly staff!
We had absolutely zero trouble jumping on board with the retro theme and promptly ordered two Old-Fashioneds. I don’t know why it took me so many years to discover this delicious drink, but it is without a doubt a new favorite. The Cut Shop’s version was made just how I like them.
Here is the owner, aka head boat rocker Gabe Johnson, who graciously took the time to chat with us about the restaurant and what they have planned in the coming months. I am looking forward to returning soon to enjoy the outdoor patio.
Carrie ordered the fried egg sandwich, which might be a new menu item? She said it was delicious!
These longer tables and benches would be great for a large event or party, and I think the windows that open up to what will soon be the outdoor patio add the perfect touch. It’s always nice to dine with a nice breeze of fresh air. If you would like more info on reserving this space for your gathering, contact the staff from The Cut shop here.
This was my lunch, the pimento grilled cheese sandwich and fries. I had never tried the spicy pimento before but really enjoyed it and these French fries were delicious!
Is this not the perfect retro setting? It is obvious that great thought went into searching for the décor of this restaurant. I feel like this takes me back to my childhood basement TV room. I have to admit that what jumped out at me the most was the lighted Olympia Beer sign on the wall.
Carrie and I got a chuckle out of the “No Firearms, No Nunchucks” sign that hangs adjacent to the bar. Hysterical! I like the sense of humor and personality that can be found in every corner of this establishment. It certainly lends a hand to striking a nostalgic cord with patrons. What a great way to start up conversations with someone you haven’t met before!
This awesome deck will soon be set up as a rear outdoor seating area, in addition to a full patio on the other side of this fence. I love the custom wood bench and the colorful mural! Not shown here is the waterfall – that adds another touch of relaxation to this friendly atmosphere.
You will not be disappointed when you head over to eat at The Cut Shop! Every staff member we spoke to was personable and helpful and our food was terrific. I think it is the perfect addition to Woodinville’s list of restaurants.
