Yesterday I went on a quest to restock my collection of Woodinville Rosé wines. (We drank up quite a few bottles, you see, at my recent Mother’s Day party). We popped into the Airfield Estates tasting room, wishing we had time to do a full tasting while we were here.
On the way in, I had to stop and admire the model replica of a vintage biplane. So cool!
We were delighted to meet the Airfield Estates owner and winemaker, Marcus Miller. He happened to be in town checking on things and planning a redesign for the Woodinville tasting room. I was pleased to be able to purchase my rosé bottle directly from the winemaker and tell him how much my guests have enjoyed drinking Airfield Estates wine at my dinner parties!
If you happen to be in Prosser in October, the Winemaker’s Dinner with Marcus Miller will take place on Friday, October 12.
Other upcoming events include two-for-one tastings in the Woodinville tasting room on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays; Woodinville Spring Release Parties for club members in June; and a “Dine in the Vines” event in June, in Sunnyside, Washington at the Airfield Estates production facility.
