If you happen to be playing hookey on a weekday, lunching at Purple Cafe and then hitting up a couple of wine tasting rooms, I have a wonderful suggestion for you! Stop by for an indulgent half hour or so of browsing and shopping at Molbak’s Garden + Home, Woodinville’s showcase nursery and home decor store. I recommend shopping *before* wine tasting, not after, in case any inhibition-loosening drinking causes you to overspend!
Valerie had never been to Molbak’s before, and was instantly stunned by their creative displays. We took our sweet time exploring the nursery and garden supplies.
We were so delighted to have sunny weather to browse in (though Molbak’s is fun to explore in the rain or on cloudy days too!)
I almost grabbed a cart to start a shopping frenzy, but realized my boyfriend and I haven’t finalized our garden plan for this year yet. I’d better not shop without him!
Everywhere we wandered in this gigantic store, people were admiring, planning, sniffling flowers and daydreaming about Spring. Everyone looked so relaxed and happy! We definitely weren’t the only people playing hookey from work on this lovely afternoon.
These tabletop gardens are a great way to bring Spring indoors. I need one for my dining table and two or three for my mantel!
I lingered a while at this display of tropical plants, fantasizing that I’d suddenly been transported to a Hawaiian island.
Imagine how stunning this display will be when the daffodils poke their heads out in a few days!
Doesn’t this artfully arranged swath of color just bring joy to your winter-weary spirit? I’m definitely coming back for a few trays of these to plant in my garden next weekend.
Molbak’s Grab & Go Mini Gardens are a great way to add a pop of color to your front porch if you’re short on gardening time.
