Carrie and I were so delighted to be able to dine outside on the patio of the Bistro at the Hollywood Schoolhouse on a 70 degree October afternoon. It was so warm, we even dared to squeeze one more day of wearing sundresses out of this late summer season!
On this particular afternoon, we had decided to try more than one tasting room and needed something to eat. Since the fresh summer harvest will soon be gone, we ordered as many colorful veggies as we could. Shown here is the signature salad, with candied pecans, crumbled gorgonzola and fresh strawberries.
How stunning is the presentation of this seasonal hummus plate with fresh pita bread? The pickled red onions, olives, cucumbers, peppers were all delicious. I was in heaven!
I ordered the chicken club Caesar salad topped with a poached egg. I asked for the dressing to be on the side, and our server was more than happy to oblige my dietary concerns.
The Bistro is a perfect place to stop for a bite to eat either before, after or between wine tastings. We highly recommend that you add them as a planned a stop on your next trip to Woodinville wine tasting rooms!
