Starting the Workweek Off Right at Purple Cafe Woodinville

The clouds were back today as we met up for our working lunch at Purple Cafe Woodinville, but the weather did not dampen our experience.   This cheery seating area is covered and there are plenty of heaters installed to keep the chill away.  The lighting of the interior space is what convinced us to sit inside… I am endlessly drawn to warmly lit spaces.

The tables and chairs allow for ample people watching.  I love the airy cafe dining style, especially for evenings!  Purple Cafe is open until 9PM Sunday-Thursday and until 10 on Friday and Saturday.  Carrie and I both plan on returning to enjoy the nightlife on warm summer nights. Let’s hope they arrive soon – it has been a record breaking, long Seattle winter.

The chic decor and candlelit brick walls in this space are very unique.  A spiral staircase leads to an upstairs seating area.

The wine offering (by the glass and bottle) is so extensive, it has it’s own Table of Contents.   There is a page for both Red and White wines of Woodinville!

Look at the Gorgonzola Cheese Stuffed Dates and wine flights we ordered for our appetizer.  My mouth waters at the memory of those dates…. A must try!

As photogenic as it was delicious!  The Gorgonzola Cheese stuffed dates are a wonderful savory and sweet combination.

The Family Tree wine tasting flight paired perfectly with my lunch.  The Nathan Gray Cabernet Sauvignon was my favorite of the trio.  It is made by Woodinville winemakers Morgan Lee and Covington Cellars.

We can’t forget to mention Half Price Bottle Monday.  For every $25 dollars worth of food ordered, diners can pick from a wide variety of wines and Purple Cafe will take half off the bottle price.

Here is a vegetarian lunch menu option!  Two of my closest friends are non-meat eaters, so I know that vegetable based soups are a bit hard to find. Grilled cheese and San marzano tomato soup combo plate – perfect choice.

This is my indulgent choice.  Sherry mushroom soup and the BLTA sandwich.  The creamy soup was incredible.

Our view of the chic bar, hugged by sturdy iron chairs.  The ambiance and atmosphere are suitable for you to meet up with friends for a social lunch, or for a date night.  Be sure to call (425) 483-7129 if you are considering reservations for Father’s Day weekend.  This place fills up fast!
