We were innocently on our way to peruse the menu at Hollywood Tavern next door, when Jen mentioned she’d never been to the Woodinville Whiskey Co. for a tasting. Had to rectify that immediately, I insisted, so in we went. (I did not actually have to make any effort whatsoever to persuade her!)
Our tasting was a really good deal – $10 for a tasting of whiskey, then an aged whiskey, a rye whiskey, and their Straight American Whiskey.
We were also introduced to a small sip of their delicious whiskey-infused maple syrup, sold on site – pancake brunch next weekend anyone?
I personally make sure to keep the Straight Bourbon Whiskey well-stocked at my home.
We marveled at the distillery through the windows while sipping our whiskey.
Both of us agree the aged whiskey is our favorite from this tasting.
We both thought this age-your-own whiskey kit would be an excellent present for our best friends’ husbands or for Father’s Day.
Complimentary distillery tours are offered on Saturdays and Sundays 1pm and 3pm.
What a lovely way to spend half an hour before lunch!
